FAQ

Questions coaches ask

Can beginners in coaching apply?
Yes. If you have strong chess fundamentals and a genuine interest in teaching, we would love to hear from you. We help new coaches build their teaching skills, lesson structure and classroom confidence.
Is previous coaching experience mandatory?
No. Coaching experience is an advantage, but it is not required. We look at your chess understanding, communication skills and passion for helping students improve.
Can I apply for online coaching from another country?
Yes. Our online classes connect coaches and students across time zones. Tell us your country, time zone and available hours in the application so we can match you with suitable batches.
Do I need a FIDE rating to become a coach?
No. A FIDE rating and tournament results are a plus, but they are not compulsory. Many excellent coaches are unrated; what matters most is how well you understand and explain the game.
Can I work part-time?
Yes. We offer full-time, part-time and flexible arrangements depending on your availability and our current openings. Select your preferred working type and days in the form.
Will there be an interview or demo class?
Shortlisted candidates are usually invited to a short interview followed by a sample teaching session. It helps us see your teaching style, and helps you get a feel for how we work.
How will I know if my application is selected?
Our recruitment team reviews every application and contacts shortlisted candidates on WhatsApp or by email, using the contact details you provide.
Can I apply if I am an active tournament player?
Absolutely. Active players bring valuable practical experience to their students. We can work around your tournament schedule when planning classes.
